Small Business Technical Assistance Program

The Georgia Small Business Technical Assistance Program is a non-regulatory office within the Environmental Protection Division. The office provides free confidential and technical assistance to small businesses on environmental issues. Services provided include:

• Explaining environmental rules and requirements and answering questions on compliance requirements
• Determining if a permit is needed
• Providing on-site confidential assistance on compliance problems, permit applications, and regulatory requirements
• Providing information on methods of pollution prevention and alternate technologies
• Providing information on up coming new regulatory requirements
• Considering the interests of small businesses in new rule development
• Providing specialized help to individual industries
• Providing speakers to civic organizations, trade associations, and other groups
