Georgia SBEAP Mission

The Georgia Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP) is a non-regulatory program of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. SBEAP provides free and confidential environmental permitting and compliance assistance to help Georgia's small businesses understand and comply with environmental regulatory requirements concerning air and water quality, solid and hazardous waste management, and other environmental areas.

 

What Is Considered A Small Business?

A small business is one that employs fewer than 100 employees corporate wide, and is not considered a major source of air pollutants.

 

Types of Assistance

Our technical assistance team of engineers and environmental specialists are ready to assist you. Our services include:

  • Determining what environmental permits are required for your business
  • Preparing environmental permit applications
  • Conducting environmental compliance evaluations of your operations
  • Designing and conducting industry-specific workshops and training events on a variety of environmental topics
  • Providing pollution prevention assistance
  • Serving as an advocate for small businesses in matters of noncompliance
